April 2003, Kiel, Germany.Caterpillar’s engineers tested Xbee’s capacities on one of the R&D Department’s testbeds.
By testing the Xbee enzyme’s biotechnology on a semi-rapid M25 engine, these researchers wanted to measure Xbee’s capacities at the engine’s temperatures and its greenhouse gas emissions. The results were very positive.
This experiment’s supervisors then published their comments: “The analysis demonstrated significant improvement in all measured parameters (see below). We did not note any engine damage [...] Moreover, the reduced pollutant emissions is an additional beneficial contribution for the environment.”
