Fishing companies

We can no longer perform our industrial fishing activities as we did during the previous century. If we want to continue exploiting our oceans’ fishery resources, we must quickly change our behaviour.
This involves decreased fishing activities, particularly with regards to the most fragile species, and more appropriate behaviour both on behalf of sea-going professionals and consumers.
However, without waiting for longer-term results, there are simple, immediate, and very economical solutions, such as improving ships’ fuel in order to pollute and consume less.

This video is excerpted from the Spanish program Agrosfera (channel: TVE2) looking at news and novelties in the farming and fishing sectors.

Xavier Touza, director of Grupo Chymar, a fishing boat operator, tells of his experience with Xbee: reducing pollution due to harmful gas emissions, as well as decreasing fuel consumption.

Tugboats, in particular harbour tugs, work in pretty harsh conditions for the engines : low loads most of the time, sudden accelerations, back to idle, etc ... Many large towage and salvage companies in Europe have made the choice to use the Xbee enzyme fuel treatment to improve the performances of the engines, to clean up carbon deposits and to avoid too much smoke and particles at the exhaust.
One of the dutch leaders of harbour towage, Multraship Towage and Salvage, also entrusted Xbee to improve the conditions of work of its tugs, and to eliminate the smokes.
